If you have a milk allergy or are lactose intolerant, it's important to know that Organic Grass-fed Whey is made from milk and contains milk proteins and naturally occurring lactose.
What if I have a milk allergy?
Organic Grass-fed Whey is not suitable for people with a milk allergy.
Whey is a milk protein, and the product contains milk proteins. Milk is therefore listed as an allergen on the product label.
If you have a diagnosed milk allergy, please avoid this product and consult your healthcare provider about appropriate alternatives.
What if I am lactose intolerant?
Organic Grass-fed Whey contains a small amount of naturally occurring lactose—typically less than 1 gram per serving.
Because lactose tolerance varies from person to person, we cannot guarantee that the product will be suitable for everyone with lactose intolerance. If you are unsure whether you can tolerate it, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before use.
Milk Allergy vs. Lactose Intolerance
These are two different conditions:
- Milk allergy: An immune response to proteins found in milk. Even small amounts of milk protein may cause a reaction in someone with a milk allergy.
- Lactose intolerance: Difficulty digesting lactose, the naturally occurring sugar in milk and dairy products.
Organic Grass-fed Whey contains milk protein and lactose, so it's important to consider which condition you have.
