Why do other brands use lecithin?
Lecithin (either soy or sunflower derived) is added to make whey protein mix with water or other liquids more easily.
Why don't you use lecithin in your whey protein products?
We believe in using the bare minimum of necessary ingredients. Lecithin isn't necessary, so we didn't add it!
Additionally, some individuals are sensitive to lecithin (especially soy-derived) so we feel like it's the right thing to do for our customers.
Are there any downsides to not using lecithin?
Being free of lecithin means that our whey proteins need to be mixed with a shaker cup or blender to mix into water or other liquids smoothly.
This isn't an issue when making smoothies, or shaking up a quick post-workout protein shake, but if you try to mix our whey protein into a glass of water or milk with a spoon or fork, it will clump. Moral of the story: Always shake or blend Organic Grass-fed Whey for the best results!
