Hold on a sec while we put on our biochemist hats... 🤓🔬
"Whey Protein" is a collective term referring to a specific group of proteins found in milk. These "whey proteins" include alpha and beta lactalbumin, glycomacropeptide, immunoglobulins, bovine serum albumin, lactoferrin, and lactoperoxidase.
In any given sample of whey protein, you can expect 1-2% of the protein content to be made up of lactoferrin. This means that a 20 gram (20,000mg) serving of Organic Grass-fed Whey contains between 200mg and 400mg lactoferrin.
Immunoglobulins, on the other hand, make up between 10-15% of the total protein content in whey protein, so a 20 gram serving of Organic Grass-fed Whey would contain between 2gm to 3gm of immunoglobulin.
