Great question! 🤓☕
Natural Force Clean Coffee is shade-grown.
Can you tell me more about that?
The coffee farmer who grows Natural Force Clean Coffee has planted more than one thousand trees of various native species on his plantation to act as both shade for the coffee bushes and habitat for birds and small mammals.
The plantation is Rainforest Alliance certified due to its sustainable practices which enhance biodiversity and create a natural reserve that includes raising bees to promote pollination.
They are also working to become verified Bird Friendly and representatives from the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Institute in Washington, DC, who manages the certification’s regulations, recently visited the farm to give recommendations. The Smithsonian representatives identified the plantation as a prime example of ecosystem restoration and we expect to have this additional certification confirmed in the near future.
