You can easily estimate the roast date of your Clean Coffee by checking the “Best By” date at the bottom of the bag.
How to Find the Roast Date
- Look at the bottom of your Clean Coffee bag for the “Best By” date.
- Subtract 10 months from the “Best By” date.
- The resulting date is the approximate roast date.
For example: If your bag has a “Best By” date of October 1, 2026, the approximate roast date would be December 1, 2025.
Why Doesn't Clean Coffee Show a Roast Date?
We use a “Best By” date rather than printing a roast date directly on the bag. Clean Coffee is nitrogen-flushed and heat-sealed after roasting, which helps protect the coffee from oxygen and maintain its freshness.
The “Best By” date provides a simple way to identify the product's recommended freshness period while still allowing you to calculate the approximate roast date.
Tip: If you're ever unsure about the date on your bag, please contact our Customer Support team and we'll be happy to help.
