Does Organic Bone Broth Protein Contain Gelatin or Collagen?

Natural Force Organic Bone Broth Protein contains hydrolyzed collagen, not gelatin.

Our Organic Bone Broth Protein is made from beef bone broth that is processed to provide a convenient source of naturally occurring collagen and other nutrients.

What's the Difference Between Collagen and Gelatin?

Collagen and gelatin come from the same family of proteins, but they are processed differently.

  • Collagen peptides (hydrolyzed collagen) are broken down into smaller peptides, making them easy to mix into liquids and foods. They do not form a gel.
  • Gelatin retains the ability to form a gel when dissolved in liquid and cooled.

Because Organic Bone Broth Protein contains hydrolyzed collagen rather than gelatin, it will not set or gel.

Can I Use Organic Bone Broth Protein Instead of Gelatin?

No. Organic Bone Broth Protein is not a substitute for gelatin in recipes that require gelatin to create a firm or gelled texture.

If a recipe specifically calls for gelatin, we recommend using gelatin rather than Organic Bone Broth Protein.

However, Organic Bone Broth Protein can be easily added to smoothies, shakes, soups, sauces, and other recipes where you want to add protein without creating a gel.

Does Organic Bone Broth Protein Contain Collagen Peptides?

Yes. The collagen in Organic Bone Broth Protein is hydrolyzed, meaning it has been broken down into smaller peptides.
