We do not recommend using C8 for high heat cooking because C8 MCTs can oxidize and become unhealthy.
How to cook with Organic Pure C8 MCT Oil?
We recommend using Organic Pure C8 in cool to low-temperature preparations such as a finishing oil (drizzled over already cooked foods), as part of salad dressings or blended into warm coffee or tea.
For moderate temperature cooking, we recommend using our full-spectrum (C8, C10, C12) Organic MCT Oil as it has a higher smoke point and is suitable for sauteing, roasting, and stir-frying.
We do not recommend using any MCT oils, including our own, for deep frying as the high temperatures and repeated heating/cooling can oxidize the beneficial MCTs and compromise their health benefits.
